Sterling Corporate Finance Golf Day in aid of The Zambia Society Trust

We had a great day at Rudding Park yesterday. The sun shone, the rain stayed away and we were looked after exceptionally well by James and his team with special thanks to Chris Lavery.

We had the maximum number of teams participating and drama even before the first tee off time on the main Hawtree course. One of our golfers hit a hole-in-one the shorter Repton course and was just about to claim his £3700 prize for so-doing, when he remembered he hadn’t paid his stake money to enter the competition! Great sport that he is, he didn’t fling himself off the nearest bridge, but carried on showing the Dunkirk spirit!

Some great scores were achieved in what turned out to be a very keenly fought competition. Congratulations to RBS who triumphed over P&A and Fox Lloyd Jones both of whom ran them very close.

In all, including raffle ticket sales, over £2500 was raised in support of The Zambia Society Trust – a fantastic achievement for us. Thank you very much to all of your support, and we hope to see you again next year.
